If you’re testing out development branches of the game, we highly recommend backing up your game save data. In some circumstances, running development versions of the game can corrupt your game data (especially if you are switching between game branches often).
To back up your game’s data
On Windows:
1. Windows Key + R
2. Paste in: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Doborog\
3. Hit enter
4. Create a zip or copy of the folder Clone Drone in the Danger Zone
On OS X:
1. While the game is launching (during the white screen dog bark), press S. This will display the location of your game save folder.
2. Navigate to the save folder on your computer.
3. Create a zip or copy of your Clone Drone in the Danger Zone/ directory
To Reset your Game Data
If you’d like to Reset your game data (e.g., if the game begins crashing on startup), first back-up your data per above, and then:
1. While the game is launching (during the white screen dog bark), press S. This will display the location of your game save folder.
2. Press “Reset My Save Data” and confirm.
To Restore from your back up
- Navigate to the save folder for Windows or OS X (see “To back up” section above)
- Move the “Clone Drone in the Danger Zone” folder (your current/old save folder) elsewhere
- Unzip or make another copy of your back-up, name that folder “Clone Drone in the Danger Zone”, and launch the game. It will load with that save data.
